Finding vs. Attracting

On a regular basis I seem to be in conversations with people on the topic of “finding” vs. “attracting.”

Mostly people use the word FIND as in find clients, find a lover or partner, find the answer, find a solution.

There is an entire industry built on finding a partner. And ‘find’ is used everywhere!

Which would be great if ‘finding’ actually worked that way.

It doesn’t.

Do you want to be ‘found’ as a client of somebody?

Do you want to be ‘found’ as a dating partner or husband or wife?

I imagine not. So…why is this such a consistent language when it isn’t really the truth?

When you are in the energy of ‘find’ you will always be looking. Finding is an active verb. You don’t reach a destination.

Here are some synonyms for ‘find’ from the Merriam-Webster dictionary online:

ascertain, descry, detect, determine, dig out, dig up, discover, dredge (up),

ferret (out), get, hit (on or upon), hunt (down or up), learn,

locate, nose out, root (out), rout(out), rummage, run down, scare up, scout (up),

track (down), turn up

OMG...being on the other end of somebody in that energy of "finding" with any of these words...not a match for me!

If you are on the receiving end of these, how does that feel? As a client, do you want to be dredged up or detected or ascertained? How about hunted down? If you are in the dating world, would you like to be rooted out or tracked down?

Instead of finding, the easier, more aligned process attracting.

Here’s the deal.

We live in an attraction-based universe. We don’t live in an ’find another’ universe.

Everything that lands in your life, every experience, every person is because you attracted it with your thoughts. That’s universal law. 

Everything is a vibrational match.- the Law of Resonance.

Nothing, then, comes into your life that isn’t by attraction so how could ‘find’ work anyway?

Tune into your body for a moment and say, “I want to find clients (or a partner.)”

Then tune in and say, “I want to attract clients (or a partner.)”

Can you feel the difference?

For me, attracting feels easier, more aligned, I feel more centered and more magnetic.

When I say, ‘find’ it feels like work, not easy. I’m going to ‘have to’ put in effort to ‘find.’

For example, if you are a business owner desiring new clients, here are some choices:

1. Align inside of yourself with feeling somebody working with you. Feel yourself interacting with him or her in the way you do business — phone, Zoom, in person, for example. Feel it in your body.
2. Then visualize yourself communicating with them. How does that feel? What do you see? Get detailed. This is alignment.

You can apply this same process with a dating partner or support person in your business or home. Alignment is the deal. Identify your desires and align with your desires. Keep your energy within you as you imagine, share pictures with yourself, feel the truth of what you are requesting.

Let’s make it real. Here is an example from my life:

I feel myself talking with a woman via Zoom. I have digital photos of her palms and am showing her on the screen what marking I’m discussing. I feel my intuitive hits come in at various times to share the tangible application of her heart/love line, for instance.

Then I visualize her face, her smile, her ‘aha’ expression. I hear her say, “that’s so right on!” which I’ve heard hundreds of times. It’s familiar to my body and my experience. I visualize her jaw relax, her shoulders lose the tension that previously existed. Joy encompasses her body by the time we finish.

I now have a tangible experience in my body and my visual field. The universe must yield to me this experience. The more time I spend in feeling and visualizing, this, talking about it with friends, the more it becomes my point of attraction.

My role here, as the point of attraction, is to ask. Ask and it is given. Universal law. I ask by BEING the energy, the RESONANCE I am requesting.

Finding doesn’t work. Attracting does. Aligning with your inside your body, in your energy field, that's what works.
