The Difference Between Palmistry and Hand Analysis

The Science of Hand Analysis
When I tell people I read hands, the first time they meet me, I often get one of two responses:
"Oh." and then silence.
or
"Like palmistry?"
Sometimes they put their hands behind their back or they extend a hand to me to read.
It's pretty clear from the beginning if they desire to pursue the conversation or not.
The ones who show interest and ask me more about it, my response is "it's like palmistry but is actually science-based. For example, your fingerprints identify your Life Purpose. I'm sure you've heard on some cop show that the fingerprints never change."
Then I stop talking. I create space for them take that in. Again, they either ask more questions or they feel clear that there is no place else to go due to their interests.
If they ask more questions, I'm prepared with answers. Not only have I been reading hands for 35 years and have lots of practice at responding to these questions, I also know the data, the details and the information to share with them.
How Hand Analysis Differs From Palmistry
Though Hand Analysis studies the same lines as Palmistry and is based in the same body of knowledge, it differs from palmistry in the following ways:
- Hand Analysis is not about predictions or “fortune telling.”
- Hand Analysis employs consistent and reproducible structural rules.
- Hand analysis can be taught.
- Hand Analysis does not require being psychic (and being intuitive is always helpful, just not required.)
Do you know why the system Richard Unger developed is actually considered "from science" or "science- based?"
Here is the definition of "Science" according to Dictionary.com
- A branch of knowledge of study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws.
- Systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation3.
- .Knowledge gained by systematic study
This is how the Hand Analysis system was developed by Richard. He read every book printed in English on hands/palmistry, experimented by asking people to respond to what he read concerning specific markings, ultimately creating a systematized database of learnable and teachable information. This system is very accurate and sustainable because its foundation is solid.
Hand Analysis is a systematic methodology of looking at the hands to determine your Life Purpose, Life Lesson from fingerprints. Plus, talents, motivations and behavioral patterns based on line formations and hand shapes.
As stated above, Hand Analysis is a teachable, learnable science. The value of it is the accurate and rapid access to your bottom-line core issues and core motivators. Hand Analysis confirms and clarifies. It gives you permission to accept who you are, to honor your design..
The basis of the science comes from medical journals that describe how fingerprint patterns start forming 14 weeks after conception and are completely formed by 16 to 20 weeks and never change.
There are also structural rules/guidelines based on years of observations about hand markings. They can apply to all lines, hand shape, finger shape and length. For example, "the longer it is, the more time you spend in it. The shorter it is, the less time you spend in it."
One of Richard's contributions, besides the importance of fingerprints, is grouping markings together into one category, making it easier to understand their purpose such as Gift Markings, Heart Lessons and the Spiritual Journey (and many others).
In 2016 I created a 45-minute audio on Scientific Hand Analysis, providing details on the 6 rules also called structures that are foundational to this system. A document is included with tangible pictures.
"Scientific Hand Analysis".

Aristotle, a noted teacher of hand reading, said that palmistry was an ancient science worthy of the most noble minds.
